Grayscale Zcash ETF Prepares to Split Shares Amid Token Price Surge

Grayscale's Zcash ETF (ZCSH) is set to undergo a significant change as it files for a 3-for-1 forward share split with the US Securities and Exchange Commission. The split will take effect at the close of trading on September 28, resulting in shareholders receiving two extra shares for each one they hold.

The move aims to make the ETF more accessible to investors, given the significant increase in value of Zcash over the past year. According to Grayscale's press release, the token has risen by approximately 2,800% over this period, making its price per unit too high for some investors.

As a result of the split, shareholders will see their total number of shares increase proportionally, but the value per share will decrease. This means that if an investor holds 10 shares valued at $300 each before the split, they will own 30 shares valued at $100 each afterward, with their overall investment remaining unchanged.
