Hester Peirce Departs SEC After Eight Years as 'Crypto Mom'

Hester Peirce is leaving her position as a commissioner at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) after eight years of service, including four terms.

Sometimes referred to as 'Crypto Mom', Peirce has been an advocate for the crypto industry since joining the SEC in 2018 under President Donald Trump.

She will officially depart on October 2nd, with her resignation letter thanking the president for the opportunity to serve at the agency.
