HOOD Unveils AI-Powered Agentic Accounts and Crypto Perpetual Futures
Roadmap to the Future: HOOD's AI-Powered Agentic Accounts, Tokenization, and Crypto Perpetual Futures
Robinhood (HOOD) has been busy expanding its platform, with several key developments in the past few months. One notable innovation is the introduction of AI-powered agentic accounts, dubbed Robinhood Agents. Since their rollout in May, over 150,000 customers have opened these accounts, which are designed for research, strategy, and trade execution. This move is part of HOOD's efforts to enhance user experience and increase its competitive edge.
However, HOOD is also facing regulatory constraints. According to the company, the SEC's five-year tokenized equities exemption limits the volume and asset types that can be tokenized. Despite this, HOOD is interpreting the rules while expanding tokenization to cover more U.S. stocks and ETFs.
HOOD is also pushing the boundaries in the crypto space. The company will soon offer U.S.-onshore crypto perpetual futures for eight popular cryptocurrencies: BTC, ETH, SOL, XRP, DOGE, ADA, LINK, and HYPE. Leverage will be tied to user activity and liquidity, with the highest leverage available for BTC/ETH pairs (up to 10x) and other pairs (up to 3x). This move aims to provide users with more flexibility and opportunities for trading.
Additionally, HOOD has enhanced its platform by adding 24-hour trading and AI agents that auto-execute trades per user instructions outside regular hours. This feature links automated execution to the new extended trading capability, further streamlining the user experience.
