Linea, an Ethereum layer-2 network developed by Consensys, has temporarily exited validators supporting its Yield Boost vault as a precautionary measure following the security incident at MetaMask Staking.

The incident forced exit of validators, triggering a temporary reduction in staking rewards funding Linea's ecosystem incentives until replacement validators are deployed. The funds and control of the staking vault itself remain unaffected.

According to Linea, the affected validators supporting the Yield Boost vault were exited as a precaution following the MetaMask Staking incident. The team added that 'the impact is a temporary reduction in the net staking rewards that fund ecosystem incentives while validators exit and are replaced.'
