Masked Thugs Use Violence to Steal Crypto from UK Couple

Share

A couple in the UK was targeted by masked robbers who broke into their home in December, threatening to kill the pregnant wife and her unborn child unless they handed over their cryptocurrency funds.

The attackers, who wore gloves and balaclavas, forced their way into the residence in Solihull, southeast of Birmingham, and began suffocating the pregnant woman with a pillow.

The husband, who wished to remain anonymous, tried to defend himself but was hit with hammers. The attackers then pinned his wife to the sofa and continued to suffocate her until the husband handed over hundreds of thousands of pounds in cryptocurrency.

The robbers, who were guided by a remote accomplice via FaceTime, were able to locate the couple's crypto wallet and demanded that the husband transfer the funds to them.

According to the husband, the attacker on the phone said, 'If you don't send us this money now, we're going to stab your wife in the stomach and kill your baby. We're going to kill your wife.'
