MEXC Review: Low Fees but High Risk

Share

MEXC is a cryptocurrency exchange that has been around since 2018. The platform offers a wide range of products, including spot trading, margin trading, futures and perpetuals, options, OTC, simple-buy broker, and staking.

The exchange has over 3,000 listed assets, with heavy early-stage exposure to altcoins. MEXC also offers low fees, with a maker fee of 0% and a taker fee of up to 0.05%. However, the platform is not suitable for users who need a Tier-1 regulator or want to park large balances.

The exchange has a frozen-account risk, which can result in accounts being frozen for up to 12 months if there is 'abnormal activity'. This has raised concerns among some users about the safety of their funds on the platform.
