Midnight Ditches DevTeam in Bid to Broaden Access to Cardano's Privacy Sidechain

The Cardano-associated Midnight blockchain ecosystem is winding down its Developer Relations team as part of a broader strategy to expand who can build on its privacy sidechain. This move forms part of a shift towards making Midnight's ecosystem accessible to a broader group of potential builders, including those with product ideas and industry expertise.

Midnight argues that the growing use of AI-powered development platforms like Replit demonstrates how quickly the pool of people capable of building applications is expanding. With over 60 million users worldwide, Replit shows that it's no longer necessary to have advanced programming skills to turn ideas into functional software.

The Midnight Foundation plans to prioritize AI-native tools and simpler pathways into its ecosystem, supporting builders from initial idea through deployment. This strategy builds on existing initiatives like Build Club and Night Sky, which aim to support both developers and non-developers alike.
