Midnight Token Doubles in Eight Days as Smart Contract Push Gains Momentum
The native token of the Midnight privacy network has seen its price more than double in just over a week, rising from $0.022 on September 24 to around $0.048 by October 1.
This surge outpaced major cryptocurrencies during the same period, with Zcash and Monero posting declines of 5.44% and 1.06%, respectively, while Cardano fell by 3.23%.
The advance coincides with Midnight's accelerated technical roadmap, which includes the September 26 release of Node 1.0.3, described as the final major update before smart contract deployment.
Charles Hoskinson, founder of Cardano, has compared Midnight's current phase to his own project's early years, saying 'it feels like the good old days, but with a lot more wisdom and superintelligence in his pocket.'
