Moscow Exchange Launches XRP Futures in Rubles with Higher Margin Requirement

The Moscow Exchange has launched XRP perpetual futures in rubles, allowing traders to bet on the cryptocurrency's price without owning it.

The exchange's XRP futures have a margin requirement of 43%, nearly double that of Bitcoin, making it the most volatile among its five crypto contracts.

This move follows a year of growth for dated crypto futures, which has drawn in over 72,000 qualified Russian investors and generated $7 billion in turnover since summer 2025.

The Moscow Exchange views XRP as a higher-risk investment due to its volatility, with a recent 8% drop on September 15 followed by a significant rally in the following week.
