Quant's QNT Token Soars 230% on US Payments Partnership
The price of Quant's QNT token has surged over 230% in the past week after a major U.S. payments partnership was announced, but it has since pulled back sharply from its intraday high near $360. The token rallied from around $70 to an intraday high before retreating toward $194. This significant price movement comes as Quant was selected by The Clearing House to provide interoperability, orchestration, and transaction management for its On Chain Money Initiative.
The On Chain Money Initiative aims to help financial institutions settle tokenized commercial bank deposits while connecting them to existing payment infrastructure. This partnership validates demand for Quant's underlying infrastructure but leaves a gap between the announcement and any potential increase in activity on the network.
Quant has also been involved in a similar effort in the UK through the Great British Tokenized Deposit initiative, where Barclays, HSBC, Lloyds, and NatWest have participated in live customer transactions. The project explores tokenized sterling deposits using Quant's infrastructure.
