Raffles Family Office (RFO) is pioneering a new approach to wealth management tailored for Asia’s stablecoin billionaires. Chi-Man Kwan, founder and CEO of RFO, highlights the unique challenges faced by these young, self-made billionaires who often hold their wealth in digital currencies like Bitcoin and Ethereum, or stablecoins. Traditional financial institutions struggle to accommodate these assets, leaving a gap that RFO aims to fill.
In 2022, RFO launched Revo, Asia’s first digital assets-focused multi-family office. This initiative secured licenses from Hong Kong’s Securities and Futures Commission earlier this year, enabling it to manage both digital and traditional assets. A 2026 survey by Ocorian revealed that 86% of family-office principals now include crypto in their investment strategies, despite regulatory hurdles.
Asia’s billionaire population is growing rapidly, with Greater China alone minting 1,110 billionaires as of 2026, according to the Hurun Global Rich List. Kwan notes that these younger billionaires have different needs compared to older generations, requiring innovative wealth management solutions. RFO is expanding its reach beyond Asia, recently establishing a presence in Kigali, Rwanda, to tap into Africa’s emerging wealth.
RFO’s strategic agreement with the Rwanda Development Board in October 2026 underscores its commitment to fostering investment flows between Asia and Africa. Kwan predicts that Africa could soon surpass Asia as the fastest-growing continent, driven by its rising earning and spending power.
