Ripple Empowers Autonomous AI with XRPL Payments

Ripple has launched the XRPL AI Starter Kit, a developer toolkit that allows autonomous AI systems to conduct payments on the XRP Ledger without human intervention. The kit integrates XRPL into the x402 open payment protocol, which already counts Stripe and Coinbase among its supporters.

The toolkit includes tools for wallet creation, transaction monitoring, and real-time payment processing. It also provides integration with t54, a partner that bridges XRPL into the x402 protocol.

Ripple's move is significant because it positions XRP and RLUSD as settlement assets for machine-to-machine transactions on the XRPL side. The company has joined Mastercard's Agent Pay for Machines program, a consortium of over 30 industry partners building infrastructure for agentic commerce.
