Ripple's RLUSD stablecoin hits $25 billion market cap milestone
Ripple's stablecoin, RLUSD, has surpassed a market capitalization of $25 billion, marking a significant milestone in its growth. As of October 1, the circulating supply of RLUSD reached $259.8 million (approximately 3,961 billion yen), with reserve assets totaling $263.38 million (approximately 4,157 billion yen). This data was officially disclosed by Ripple on their public page.
Jack McDonald, Senior Vice President of Ripple's stablecoin division, highlighted on September 30 that RLUSD's market cap had reached approximately $2.4 billion, representing a more than 50% increase in a month. He also noted that the daily average activity of RLUSD had tripled since the beginning of the year.
RLUSD is issued and circulated by regulated entities under Ripple, including Standard Custody and Trust Company. Designed for international remittances and corporate financial management, RLUSD launched on December 17, 2024, and is natively issued on the XRP Ledger and Ethereum. The stablecoin is also deployed across multiple blockchains via the Wormhole protocol, including Base, Ink, Optimism, Unichain, and the XRP Ledger EVM Sidechain.
Additionally, RLUSD is expanding its liquidity and distribution through Spark Finance's Stablecoin FX Layer on Uniswap v4, processing over $600 million in its first week.
