Saylor Teases Another Big Bitcoin Buy for MicroStrategy
Strategy Inc., the parent company of MicroStrategy (Nasdaq: MSTR), may be buying more Bitcoin, according to its Executive Chairman Michael Saylor. In a recent post on September 27, Saylor shared a chart showing the company's holdings and added 'Even more orange' in his message.
The chart marks Strategy's Bitcoin purchases with orange circles, and it shows that the company currently holds 846,000 $BTC with an average acquisition price of $75,416 per bitcoin. This represents a total cost of about $63.8 billion, but the market value of these holdings is estimated to be around $71.81 billion.
This latest move comes after Strategy disclosed a purchase of 950 $BTC for $75.7 million on September 21, which brought its holdings back to a level they held during the summer before further Bitcoin sales. Saylor has used this chart format to hint at potential purchases before, and in August, he shared a similar chart that preceded a $369.7 million Bitcoin purchase.
Strategy also reported holding $1.05 billion in USD Cash as of September 20, which it may use for future Bitcoin purchases or other corporate purposes.
