$SHIB Sees Large Exchange Transfer as Token Rebounds Above $0.0000055
OKX has moved over 110 billion Shiba Inu tokens from its cold wallet to its hot wallet, sparking speculation about potential user withdrawals. The transfer, worth approximately $615,000 at current prices, occurred on March 9th at 03:09 UTC.
The move is not uncommon for crypto exchanges, which often shift assets between wallets to facilitate transactions and meet customer withdrawal demands. However, the large quantity of tokens involved has raised eyebrows in the cryptocurrency community.
Despite this, OKX's hot wallet still holds a substantial balance of approximately 205.68 billion Shiba Inu tokens. The exchange's cold wallet remains one of the largest known holders of $SHIB, with over 6.70 trillion tokens stored there.
The transfer coincided with a modest market recovery for Shiba Inu, which has gained 3.92% in value over the past 24 hours and surpassed the significant price level of $0.0000055. However, exchange data shows that 242.46 billion Shiba Inu tokens have flowed into exchanges recently, while 105.4564 billion have flowed out.
This net inflow has increased the amount of $SHIB held on exchanges to approximately 87.5594 trillion tokens. While this movement may indicate growing interest in the token, it is unclear whether holders intend to sell or withdraw their assets.
