Stellar Leads $36 Million Surge in Real-World Asset Markets
Stellar (XLM) has made a significant impact in the Real-World Asset (RWA) markets with a $36.4 million inflow in a single day, accounting for roughly one-third of the sector's 24-hour growth. On October 4, 2026, the RWA Foundation reported a total increase of $96.5 million across 10 blockchain networks, with the BNB Chain (BSC) following Stellar in second place at $23.2 million. Stellar's dominance is notable, capturing 62% of the RWA market, despite the overall expansion of tokenized real-world assets.
The RWA Foundation highlights Stellar Lumen's protocol architecture as particularly well-suited for corporate consumers due to its high regulatory compliance and native asset insurance. This has attracted major financial brands like Franklin Templeton, which released tokenized asset versions, including the popular BENJI. Other significant contributors to the RWA capitalization include yield-bearing treasuries from Ondo and Spiko, which holds a market capitalization of $1.2 billion related to yield strategies.
Stellar's appeal extends to its standardized oracles, such as RedStone via SEP-40, which provide pricing for treasuries, debt, and related assets. The RWA niche has seen over 1,100% year-to-date growth, with even greater expansion anticipated in 2027. The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC) plans to tokenize parts of their $13 trillion stock on the blockchain, starting with Stellar's network in an early-year pilot. As of the latest data, Stellar Lumens (XLM) is priced at $0.21, with a 24-hour trading volume of $141,289,767 across spot markets.
Despite the RWA uptick, spot demand for Stellar has not significantly increased, with trading volumes remaining below $200 million. The broader crypto market's challenges, including geopolitical factors, may be contributing to this stagnation. Other notable players in the RWA market on Stellar include Realiz, Tradable, Etherfuse, Centrifuge, and WisdomTree, each offering various financial instruments.
