Strategy Unloads 1,638 Bitcoin for $104.7M Amidst Dollar Reserve Boost
Strategy, a company that has been actively accumulating Bitcoin (BTC), sold 1,638 BTC between July 27 and August 3 for a total of $104.7 million. The sale represents its second-largest transaction by volume in 2026.
The average price per unit was $63,957, with the proceeds allocated almost evenly between covering dividend payments on its STRC preferred stock ($52.4 million) and repurchasing that same instrument ($52.3 million).
Strategy currently holds 842,138 BTC, which it acquired at an aggregate cost of $63.5 billion.
The company also raised $290.6 million through the sale of MSTR shares during the same period, with $250 million going towards boosting its dollar reserve to $4 billion by Sunday's close.
