Sui (SUI) Slumps 3.11 Points Amid Broad Market Pullback
Sui (SUI) dropped by 3.11 points over the last ~14 hours due to a broad market pullback, profit taking, and supply concerns.
The total crypto market cap fell about 2 percent over 24 hours, with altcoins as a group falling more than Bitcoin, which traded around the low $80,000 area.
The decline is attributed to geopolitics and macro factors, including President Trump's rejection of Iran's proposal to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, pushing Brent crude back above $100 per barrel and lifting US Treasury yields.
This setup led to a negative mix for risk assets and especially non-yielding assets like Bitcoin and altcoins.
Sui had just run very hard, making it more vulnerable to a fast giveback after its sharp rally driven by a new protocol launch and ecosystem catalysts.
