Turkish Lira Weakness Sends Bitcoin Price Soaring to Nearly 4 Million Lira

The Turkish lira has continued to weaken, causing the price of Bitcoin to soar in local currency. As of recent data shared by Coin Bureau on X, 1 BTC is trading near 3.95 million Turkish lira.

This marks a significant increase from five years ago when the same amount of Bitcoin cost roughly 370,000 lira, meaning its price in Turkish lira has risen more than tenfold.

The decline of the Turkish lira is attributed to elevated inflation above 31% and a record low of 49 lira per U.S. dollar this week, as reported by Wu Blockchain.

Bitcoin's local-currency price does not represent its performance in isolation, but rather the combined effect of cryptocurrency pricing and movements in the underlying fiat currency.
