UK Reform Party Faces New Legal Test Over $97 Million Crypto Donations

Reform UK has received £72 million in two matching donations from crypto billionaires Christopher Harborne and Ben Delo, who co-founded BitMEX.

The contributions, announced within 24 hours of each other, matched the largest individual political donation recorded in the U.K. and were approximately $97 million.

According to The Guardian, Harborne donated £36 million one day after Delo announced an equal contribution.

Neither donor stated that their latest money was transferred in cryptocurrency, making their industry connections separate from the proposed ban on political donations paid with crypto assets.
