XRP Asia Unveils Plans for XRPL Growth Across Asia Pacific
XRP Asia has launched at XRP Seoul 2026 to promote the adoption of the XRP Ledger (XRPL) across the Asia Pacific region.
The new group aims to bring more businesses, developers, and financial institutions onto the network. It will support them through training, micro-grants, early-stage investments, and go-to-market support for decentralized finance (DeFi), retail applications, AI-based payments, and non-financial enterprise use cases.
XRP Asia is led by Sabrina Tachdjian, former vice president of the Hedera Foundation. The launch comes just before two major XRPL upgrades: Permission Delegation on October 8 and Batch Amendment on October 9, which will improve security, delegated signing, and high-volume efficiency.
Ripple President Monica Long announced at XRP Seoul 2026 that the company plans to connect the XRP Ledger with payment infrastructure. The next phase will move beyond ecosystem building, focusing on using pooled XRP as collateral for customer payments in credit-related pilots planned for activation next year.
