XRP Price Falls Below $1.50 Floor Amid Wider Market Slowdown
XRP's price has dropped to $1.49, down about 10% from its peak of $1.66 last week. The token has been falling for three days and is currently near a floor of $1.50. This decline follows a wider market slowdown, with Bitcoin (BTC) below $83,000 and Ethereum (ETH) under $2,650.
The token's performance lags behind its peers, down 17.3% for the year so far. It sits 58% below its peak high of $3.67 set in July 2025 and 37% beneath its $2.42 price tag from January. Heavy token supply limits big price jumps due to Ripple unlocking up to 1 billion new XRP tokens every month, adding $1.5 billion worth of new supply into the market.
This supply limit means it takes a lot of new buyer money to move the price up, making it harder for XRP to experience significant price rises. In contrast, cryptocurrencies with smaller token supplies, such as Bitcoin and Solana, require less cash to jump in price. Despite this challenge, analysts see $1.70 as the key level to break, with a monthly close above pointing toward a 2027 target range between $1.60 and $2.40.
