Zcash Bears Emerge as Technical Signals Indicate Potential Short-Term Decline
Zcash (ZEC), a privacy-focused cryptocurrency, has seen one of its most bullish moments in nearly a decade. Its market capitalization peaked at $21.11 billion on TradingView CryptoCap data.
This surge has put ZEC among the top performers in the market. According to CoinMarketCap, it is ranked as the fifth-best-performing cryptocurrency over the past three months, with a 163% gain.
ZEC remains about 80% away from its all-time high of $5,941 and has gained more than 2,300% over the past year. However, recent technical indicators suggest that bears may be taking control of the market.
A bearish crossover is forming on the Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) indicator, alongside a shift in the Parabolic SAR. The last time this occurred, ZEC declined by about 12% before recovering. A similar fractal could bring ZEC toward the $1,000 area.
