The Bloc Québécois MPs are gathering near Ottawa to prepare for the return of Parliament. The caucus will meet in Cantley, Quebec, less than 20 kilometres from Parliament Hill.

Throughout the summer, the party has proposed that the government provide more support for businesses affected by U.S. tariffs. This comes as trade tensions with the United States remain high, with successive rounds of duties and tariff threats escalating concerns about the economy and cost of living.

The Bloc also spent resources trying to win a federal byelection in Chicoutimi, Le Fjord, but ultimately came up short against Liberal candidate Daniel Gobeil. The party highlighted its efforts to protect supply management, which regulates production and imports in Canada's dairy, poultry, and egg sectors.
