Canada's ECO Launches SBEP Indigenous Pathway for Indigenous Professionals

ECO Canada has launched SBEP Indigenous, a new pathway within its Sustainable Blue Economy Professional (SBEP) program. This initiative is specifically designed for First Nations, Inuit, and Métis individuals in Canada with experience connected to ocean, coastal, or freshwater-to-ocean environments.

The program recognizes that diverse experiences contribute to the sustainable blue economy, including community leadership, cultural practice, harvesting, fisheries, aquaculture, training, and hands-on work with the land and water.

Applicants can choose to highlight their experience across focus areas such as environmental stewardship, marine operations, project management, safety and compliance, technical systems, leadership, and communications.
