Canadians Favor Liberals Amidst Worsening Economic Concerns

According to the latest data from Nanos Research, Canadians' attention is shifting towards the US while keeping a close eye on their economy. The survey found that the Liberals are leading federal ballot support with a significant margin of 17 points.

The results show that 48.1% of Canadians prefer the Liberals as their choice for government, followed by the Conservatives at 31.0%, and the NDP at 11.2%. Notably, Mark Carney is the most frequently selected candidate to become the next Prime Minister, ahead of Pierre Poilievre.

When it comes to national issues, Canadians' concerns are centered around their relations with the US and the economy. This trend continues to show regional and demographic variations in political preferences and issue priorities.
