The US dollar declined in late trading on Friday, as measured by the dollar index against six major peers.

The dollar index lost 0.03 percent to reach 100.222 at 15:00 (1900 GMT), marking a slight weakening of the greenback.

In late New York trading, the euro rose to 1.1483 US dollars from its previous session's value of 1.1475 dollars, while the British pound increased to 1.3391 dollars from 1.3353 dollars in the previous session.
