Indian Rupee Holds Steady Against US Dollar Amid Global Market Volatility
The Indian Rupee started the day relatively unchanged against the US Dollar on September 30th, opening at 95.95/$ after closing at 95.98/$ the previous day.
This stability in the Rupee comes as the US Dollar continues its upward trend, reaching a 16-month high driven by investor positioning ahead of key economic indicators that may influence the Federal Reserve's interest rate decisions.
The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) committee has recommended increasing the combined Ways and Means Advances ceiling for state governments to 678.39 billion rupees ($7.07 billion), up from the existing threshold of 610.08 billion rupees.
