TSX Dips Amid Stalled Economy and Global Rate Worries
The TSX fell slightly on Tuesday as investors weighed the impact of a stalled Canadian economy against easing oil prices and bond yields.
A Statistics Canada report showed that the country's GDP stagnated in July, matching expectations but raising concerns about the Bank of Canada's next policy steps.
'July GDP was likely in line with BoC officials' latest forecasts, it will likely have little impact on the October rate decision,' analysts at Citi said.
