US Dollar Surges to 18-Month High Ahead of NFP Release
The US Dollar Index (DXY) has surged to its highest level in nearly two years, reaching 18-month tops as investors await critical data releases at the end of the week. The Non-Farm Payrolls (NFP), Unemployment Rate, and Factory Orders will be closely watched on Friday.
The EUR/USD pair continues to decline, hitting new 17-month lows in the sub-1.1200 region as investors remain cautious about the euro bloc's flash Inflation Rate release. The ECB's Cipollone and Vujčić are set to speak later today.
In contrast, the AUD/USD pair has plunged to fresh three-month lows near 0.6900 due to ongoing weakness. Next week will see the publication of the final S&P Global Services PMI on October 5.
