$1 Billion Investment: Caterpillar Expands North Carolina Manufacturing Capacity

Caterpillar, a leading manufacturer of construction equipment, is investing approximately $1 billion in North Carolina to increase its production capacity for compact track loaders and telehandlers.

The investment will support the expansion of Caterpillar's US manufacturing operations and create positions related to automation, robotics, digital manufacturing, and production systems.

'With demand for compact equipment on the rise, we are increasing our investment to better support this expanding customer segment,' said Rod Shurman, President of Caterpillar Construction Industries Group.
