Abdelhamid Naceri Reveals Identity Behind Microsoft Defender Exploit

A researcher known as Nightmare Eclipse has revealed his identity and released another Microsoft Defender exploit. Abdelhamid Naceri, posting under the name Abdelhamid Naceri, announced a new PoC exploit called BigDiskBuster over the weekend.

According to the project's GitHub page, BigDiskBuster is a proof of concept that prevents Windows Defender from completing its platform and signature updates. It works on all currently supported Windows versions, but the code is still buggy and needs further work.

Naceri revealed his identity about a week before releasing BigDiskBuster. He claimed to have worked with Microsoft in the UK and Germany, but was abruptly terminated without clear justification. Naceri alleged that Microsoft offered him financial settlement options, which he rejected because he sought a formal explanation and assistance remaining in Germany.
