AI Powerhouses Accused of Colluding on Development Pace

A lawsuit has been filed against Anthropic, OpenAI, SpaceX AI, and Google, alleging that they entered into an illegal agreement to slow down their respective AI development.

The lawsuit, which was filed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California on Friday, claims that the companies violated antitrust laws by coordinating slowdown efforts.

The complaint argues that this deliberate slowing of AI development would reduce the value consumers get from paid AI subscriptions, essentially limiting their access to advanced technology.
