Alaska Wealth Advisors Snaps Up Amazon Stake Amid E-Commerce Giant's Growth Spurt
Alaska Wealth Advisors LLC has acquired a new stake in Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN) worth approximately $729,000, according to the company's most recent Form 13F filing with the Securities & Exchange Commission.
The institutional investor purchased 3,058 shares of the e-commerce giant's stock during the 2nd quarter, which is a relatively small position in comparison to other investors. Despite this, it highlights the interest and confidence that some investors have in Amazon's growth prospects.
Amazon has been making headlines recently with several major announcements, including its agreement to purchase backup generators from Generac, which is valued at approximately $2.4 billion over the next two years. The company also plans to expand its same-day delivery hubs from 85 to more than 1,000 by 2031, potentially placing facilities within 10 miles of about 80% of U.S. Prime members.
Additionally, Amazon's CEO Andrew Jassy has stated that the company's cloud services business, AWS, has reached a $169 billion annualized revenue run rate, highlighting continued demand for AI and traditional cloud services.
