Amazon Blocks Meta's Muse AI Agent From Shopping on Its Marketplace

Meta Platforms' shares surged nearly 7% on Monday after Amazon blocked its Muse AI agent from shopping on its marketplace. The e-commerce giant's move has put a damper on Meta's agent strategy, which can browse websites, fill out forms, and move towards a purchase before asking users for final approval.

Muse is paired with Stripe's Link infrastructure, including one-time-use payment cards, but cannot access customer passwords or card information. This makes Amazon's decision significant as it could limit the agent's usefulness, even if it can complete transactions technically.

Despite the setback, Meta's valuation remains below its fair value estimate. The company trades about 16.7% below its GuruFocus' estimated fair value of $854.23, suggesting that shares remain undervalued despite the latest rally.
