Amazon Cargo Plane Crashes at Miami Airport, Killing Five

An Amazon Prime Air Boeing 767-300 cargo plane overran a runway at Miami International Airport, killing at least five people and injuring five others.

The aircraft, which was arriving from Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport in San Juan, Puerto Rico, left the usable runway during landing and caught fire after coming to rest near an Amazon warehouse and other businesses.

FlightRadar24 data showed the plane was traveling at 112 knots (about 129 mph) when it exited the runway. Thunderstorms and gusting winds were reported in Miami around the time of the accident, although officials haven't determined what caused the overrun.
