Amazon CEO Jassy Sells $5.18m in Shares as Company Expands
Amazon CEO Andrew Jassy recently sold $5.18m in company shares as part of a pre-planned trading strategy. On August 21, 2026, he sold 20,000 Amazon shares at prices ranging from $257.09 to $260.90, totaling $5,180,213. These sales were executed under a Rule 10b5-1 plan adopted by Jassy on November 14, 2025.
However, it's worth noting that the same day, Jassy also acquired 50,000 shares of Amazon common stock through the conversion of restricted stock units. This brings his total direct holdings to 2,235,766 shares. He also holds 65,500 shares in trust and 9,927.395 shares in an Amazon.com 401(k) plan account.
InvestingPro analysis suggests that Amazon currently appears undervalued based on its Fair Value assessment. Meanwhile, Amazon continues to expand its presence through investments like the recently announced $18 billion expansion in northwest Louisiana, which will create up to 750 full-time jobs and support 2,500 additional positions in the community.
