E-commerce giant Amazon is preparing to launch drone deliveries in Australia and other nations.

A recent job ad on its website shows that Amazon is hiring a Head of Regulatory Approvals, Australia, who will be responsible for navigating Australia's aviation regulatory system and securing every approval required to deliver to Australian customers by drone.

The person holding this position will report to the Leader, Prime Air Expansion, Asia Pacific.

The job ad suggests that Amazon intends to operate Prime Air in Australia and is doing rather more than market evaluations.
