Amazon Offers Prime Delivery Perks to Lure Merchants Amid 'Seller Wars'
E-commerce giant Amazon has rolled out new incentives for U.S.-based merchants using its platform. The move comes as part of the ongoing 'Seller Wars' with Walmart, eBay, and TikTok Shop to attract merchants.
The perks include free Prime delivery and up to 25% cost savings in fulfillment fees through Amazon's Multichannel Fulfillment (MCF) Preferred Pricing Program.
Average more than 40% of eligible orders have shipped with Prime delivery since the rollout, according to Amazon. The company noted that merchants save on fulfillment costs as they ship more under MCF.
This announcement follows Amazon's recent release of new AI features for third-party sellers and comes as competition heats up in the space. Walmart has rapidly expanded its logistics service for third-party sellers, and Meta launched a new AI-powered app called 'Seller' in June.
