Amazon Pauses Partnership with 21 Air After Fatal Cargo Plane Crash

Amazon has temporarily suspended its partnership with 21 Air following a fatal cargo plane crash at Miami International Airport. The Boeing 767, operated by 21 Air, overshot the runway on September 6, killing five people and injuring five others.

The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) is investigating the incident, reviewing factors such as aircraft ownership history, airport weather, maintenance records, and 21 Air's operations. The plane was first built for passengers in 1994 and converted into a cargo plane in 2015.

Amazon spokesperson Kelly Nantel stated that the company has paused its operations with 21 Air to support the investigation and review surrounding circumstances. Amazon will continue working with authorities to support those affected by the crash.
