Amazon Prime members get gas discount starting October 2
Amazon Prime members are now eligible for a special discount on gas prices, offering some relief amid record-high fuel costs in the U.S. Starting October 2, Prime members can save 20 cents per gallon every Friday at participating gas stations, including BP, Amoco, Ampm, and Thorntons locations. This promotion will run through January 29, 2027.
To redeem the discount, members need to use a BP earnify account, a fuel rewards app. By linking their Prime membership to the earnify account, users receive a base discount of 5 cents per gallon, an additional 5 cents for Prime members, and another 10 cents during the promotional period, totaling 20 cents per gallon. The discount can be applied at participating stations by entering a phone number at the pump or using the app.
The 20-cent discount is valid once every Friday for up to 35 gallons. If members need to fill up on other days, they can still receive a 10-cent discount per gallon through the regular Amazon-earnify partnership. This offer is automatically canceled if a member terminates their Prime subscription.
