Amazon is planning to invest $3 billion in India's quick-commerce business by 2030, according to Reuters. The U.S. retailer aims to expand its presence in a market where rivals have built a large lead in fast deliveries.

The company plans to invest $1 billion by the end of 2027 and another $2 billion by 2030, as per two people with direct knowledge of the plans who spoke to Reuters.

Amazon's quick-commerce business, Amazon Now, has already surpassed $1 billion in annualized gross sales over the past three months, according to Reuters. The investment will focus on expanding Amazon Now's network of small neighborhood warehouses, allowing the company to fulfill orders closer to customers and speed up deliveries.
