Amazon's Multichannel Selling Tools Aim to Consolidate Online Retail
Amazon's efforts to make itself a one-stop-shop for online retailers have taken another step forward. The e-commerce giant has introduced new multichannel selling tools that allow sellers to manage listings, orders, and analytics across various platforms from within Seller Central.
The tool is currently being rolled out to users in the U.S., with plans to expand access to more users over the coming months. Amazon's dashboard covers seller actions on its own platform, as well as eBay, Shopify, Walmart, TikTok, and a seller's own website.
Amazon's move is part of its broader effort to ease seller concerns and make it easier for them to do business with the company. In addition to this new tool, Amazon has also allowed shipping through its network for items not sold on Amazon.
Despite the introduction of these new tools, Amazon stock fell 1.32% yesterday, although analysts remain bullish on the stock. The consensus rating from Wall Street is Strong Buy, with an average price target of $331.16 representing a potential 34.63% upside for the shares.
