Microsoft Unveils Surface Mouse (2nd Edition) with Haptic Feedback and Multi-Device Support

The Surface Mouse (2nd Edition) is Microsoft's latest wireless mouse designed to make routine interactions more deliberate. Announced on September 23, 2026, this new mouse offers haptic feedback, a customizable action button, and support for up to three devices.

The key feature of the Surface Mouse is its haptic feedback system, which provides tactile cues for clicks, scrolling, window snapping and resizing, drag-and-drop actions, and adjustments in PowerPoint. This means that instead of relying entirely on visual cues, the mouse gives your hand a small vibration when an action lands.

The Action button could save users a few steps by opening Copilot or Copilot Voice, along with personalized shortcuts. However, advanced features require Windows 11, so buyers should separate the headline claim from platform limitations.
