American Express Launches 25% Transfer Bonus to Air France-KLM's Flying Blue

American Express has launched a 25% transfer bonus to Air France-KLM Flying Blue, a loyalty program that can be used for award travel across the two airlines' global networks and eligible partner flights.

The promotion, which runs from October 1 to October 31, allows eligible US Membership Rewards members to receive 1,250 Flying Blue miles for every 1,000 American Express Membership Rewards points transferred. This reduced transfer rate means that travelers can earn a given balance of Flying Blue miles with 20% fewer Amex points.

Flying Blue awards are particularly valuable when matched with lower-priced award availability in Business Class or Premium Economy, where cash fares can run into several thousand dollars. For example, an award priced at 75,000 Flying Blue miles would require only 60,000 Membership Rewards points during a 25% transfer promotion.
