Amex Unveils Enhanced Corporate Card Program with Spend Controls

American Express has upgraded its Corporate Card Program to offer businesses greater visibility and control over their card spend management. The program, called Amex Corporate, includes new American Express Corporate Cashback Cards, integrated Expense Management software, a mobile app, and global service. According to the company, the new cards enable businesses to set specific parameters on where, how, and when the cards can be used.

The Amex Corporate Expense Management software brings together Corporate Cashback Card management, transaction data, program controls, and card expense workflows. The new mobile app automatically generates expense submissions as purchases are made, making it easier for businesses to manage their expenses. American Express plans to add AI agents to the software later this year, including an expense agent that will contact employees when key details are needed for expense submissions and an insights agent that will answer finance teams' questions about company spending.

According to Raymond Joabar, group president of global commercial services at American Express, nearly 9 out of 10 businesses surveyed said their future growth depends on getting a better understanding of employee spending. The new Amex Corporate features are designed to help businesses know where money is going and who's spending it, save time, and simplify day-to-day operations.
