Amgen's Dazodalibep Shows Promise as New Treatment Option for Sjogren's Disease

Amgen has announced positive results from its Phase 3 OASIZ 301 study of dazodalibep, a systemic treatment for Sjogren's Disease. The study met its primary endpoint at Week 48, showing clinically meaningful improvement in patients.

Dazodalibep is an intravenous non-antibody biologic antagonist that blocks stimulatory signals on the CD40 ligand, interfering with T and B cell communication. This leads to a reduction in systemic disease activity.

The most common side effects reported were mild or moderate and included common cold, UTI, hypertension, and infusion-related reactions. The study's results show promise for providing a new treatment option for patients with Sjogren's Disease.
