Google has released Android 17 QPR2 Beta 5 for Pixel devices. This update comes nearly three weeks after the last beta release, addressing various issues and bugs.

The update fixes several problems, including a system stability issue that caused unexpected device reboots during continuous UI scrolling in media-heavy applications. Another fix addresses an issue where pressing hardware volume buttons while casting media prevented the system volume slider UI from displaying.

Other resolved issues include text-rendering problems and navigation routing issues. The update also enhances HDR mode, which remained enabled despite being turned off in user settings.
