Apple iPhone Duo Sales Expected to Hit 6 Million in 2026
Apple's new iPhone Duo has been met with sticker shock due to its high price tag, but analysts are confident that demand will be strong. Counterpoint, a tech research firm, predicts that Apple will sell 6 million of these expensive devices in 2026.
The base model of the iPhone Duo costs $1,999, while additional storage can take the price up to $3,199. However, with a monthly plan spread over 24 months, the cost drops to $84, and over 48 months it's just $42 when bought from Verizon.
While Samsung has released its own foldable phone, the Galaxy Z Fold8, there is no evidence that sales are extremely high. Analysts have wondered if customers will opt for the high-end iPhone 18 Pro or Pro Max instead of the Duo, but Evercore expects many people to upgrade due to their desire for a newer model.
The iPhone has long been Apple's most profitable product, and investors look to it as the engine driving the company's success. In the latest quarter, iPhone revenue was $54 billion, up 22% year over year, while iPad sales dipped slightly to $6.2 billion.
