Apple SVP Jennifer Newstead Unloads $474k in Shares Amid Market Boom
Jennifer Newstead, Apple's Senior Vice President of General Counsel and Government Affairs, sold $474,813 worth of Apple shares on September 15. The sale comprised 1,438 shares at a price of $330.19 per share.
The transaction was part of a Rule 10b5-1 trading plan that Newstead adopted on May 5. This plan allows executives to sell company stock over time, often to reduce tax liabilities or diversify their investments.
Newstead also acquired 30,104 shares through the settlement of restricted stock units (RSUs) on September 15. These RSUs were part of an award granted on February 15, with a portion vesting on that date as per a pre-determined schedule.
The sale comes at a time when Apple stock is trading near its 52-week high of $344.57, up 35% over the past six months. However, InvestingPro analysis suggests the stock may be overvalued relative to its Fair Value.
